Naked Fish Restaurants Hit The Airwaves With Outrageously Funny TV Spot.
Full of talent from Chicago's famed Second City comedy theatre, new commercial set to air in Tuesday's All-Star game.

July 9, 2001 --Boston-- He's at it again. Former Bertucci's Corp. Chairman and founder Joey Crugnale, who has taken the Boston restaurant scene by storm over the last 24 months with the debut and roll-out of ten Naked Fish restaurants is ready to hit the airwaves with a provocative TV commercial that asks "Wanna get Naked tonite?"

"It's a funny, funny commercial that makes everyone laugh--the Second City people were incredible to work with," said Crugnale, Naked Restaurants Chairman and CEO. The 30-second commercial, the Seafood chain's first TV effort, features an all-Second City Chicago cast. The spot follows an average "office guy" who goes from one office to another asking if they "wanna get naked tonite?" In the final scene, he asks the same question of a male employee in the washroom, who responds with an emphatic "yeah!". As it ends up, the "offending" office guy was just a social-minded fellow recruiting his office friends for a bit of partying after work at where else--Naked Fish.

The spot is the first work produced by The Lumber Company, a Chicago advertising agency that includes Second City veteran Rich Talarico (who plays the office guy in the commercial), and Gold Lion (Cannes Film Festival Awards) winning film director Leroy Koetz as partners. "I think this is a pretty good example of what people can expect from us," said Lumber Company President, Leroy Koetz. "Good comedy can be very smart advertising." The spot will air in the All-Star game on Tuesday, and then be used in
"appropriately high-quality programming" in the future said Crugnale.

Naked Fish restaurants are owned by Naked Restaurants Inc., a privately held company based in Woburn (Boston), Massachusetts.
